Treasure Coast LC question?

Has anyone every had their LC grow on the sides of the jar?  My Penis Envy had done well and looked normal, but the TC just keeps growing on the jar.  Looks somewhat healthy, its just growing on the side of the jar.  Is this particular to the strain maybe?  In the past I've seen B+ and Penis Envy and never had it grow like this.  I'm out of time, and will post the pictures later as my software isn't loaded  :frown:  Thanks for ALL input.  Peace

I've never heard of anything like this, but hell as long as it is growing then I would be happy. It will work. But I have never had a TC liquid culture.

Sometimes sugars caramelize & stick as minute crystals on the inner glass sides & bottom. For whatever reason, spores or myc attach to them & grow as you describe. Often the myc is a slightly darker than normal, but no harm done. Lower your PC time or temp a tiny bit, next time.

Thanks agar... never would've thought. I think the temps could've been a little high as I have a gas stove. So should one crank up the stove all the way to achieve pressure quickly or do it more gradually? Does it affect it to heat it up quickly then reduce heat?
