Treasure Coast

Hey Y'all,
just received a replacement syringe from Sporeworks (it's a long story, but they are being VERY kind to me...there was no activity in the jars for a really long time 8+ days so they sent new spores, very very nice!) Anyway, I received "Treasure Coast", which I know little about. I chose B+ the first time, I chose these because I felt that they would be more tolerant of my ignorance, and might forgive small mistakes more than the other strains, and also that they thrive in varied conditions.
How does "Treasure Coast" differ from B+? Is it also well-suited for an inexperienced grower? Does it colonize faster?--B+ seems to be a really slow colonizer! I looked up some info at Hawk's Eye and they had beautiful pics of scalloped-edged caps of albino substrain--quite distinctive. It also indicated that the albinos or is it "Treasure Coast" in general to be more potent? I understood all Cubensis to be of similar potency, that there was little variety in content of psychoactives within a single species, only separate species could be expected to have differing levels. Is this really so? If it relates to just the albino-variant, how is it that the albino-variant is more potent? I welcome any information on this!

TC mycellium growth is pretty thick and rhizo. Average speed.
Don't know any thing about B+ maybe someday.

Your very lucky to get a T.C. syringe instead of the B+ strain that you ordered. I base this opinion on the curent market for spore vendors. (just a layman's observation) It seems that the Tresure Coast strain has sold out a few vendors recently.
I think that your vendor is being more than "kewel".
hehe
P.S: No matter how respected a vendor may be, it can sometimes easily take over two weeks for spores to start on BRC. Dont take the time tables literialy when it comes to this. Some say they have seen it take over a month. (but they dont sell spores)

Yeah, that may be true but let's not downplay the wonderful trip of the B+. Talk about uncontrollable giggles.

they sent TC as replacement for B+ spore print. it was very generous of them to do. i only hope that TC is not very fragile, meaning that I might kill the babies with my ignorance. i don't know anything about TCs really, i need to learn! i hope they are somewhat robust/hardy. Since i'm doing this the first time, i wanted to take into consideration the mistakes i would make, hence the 1st time i ordered i chose B+, since it seemed to be well-suited for someone with no experience--that was my sole reason for selecting that particular strain. I was hoping to increase my survival rate with one a little bit harder to kill than some of the more fragile strains. How fragile is TC?
i also am still confused about the argument of potency. it seems TC can exhibit albanism; but are the albinos more potent, or are TCs in general more potent? I thought P. Cubensis strains were all quite similar in potency--which is correct?

I grew Treasure Coast on my first try...I made many mistakes after birthing the cakes...I found them to be very forgiving, and also very prolific. Try not to worry...you'll do fine...Lot's of great people here to help you!!!

are pink buffalo's actually pink? My girlfriend loves pink and I'd love to grow her some pink shrooms, if they're actually pink. Where can I get some info on pink buffalo's?

Hey Buddha--
you should do some searching on this site, look in different forums as there is a cornicopia of information here.
Look at these:
http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=Pictures&Number=511705&Search=true&Forum=Pictures&Words=pink%20buffalo&Match=Entire%20Phrase&Searchpage=0&Limit=25&Old=allposts&Main=508062
lovely pink buffalo flush! As you can see, they are not pink in color at all.
I love pink too, I have pink hair! Have you grown before? If not, these may not be good for a first choice to begin cultivating... you might want to try another strain first. I'm not an expert on the topic, but I know I wanted a hardy, forgiving strain. There is also info about "pink buffalo" from The Hawk's Eye. They regularly carry this strain. The is Thai and is noted for its "speedy" property when ingested. Read up on this strain and decide if it's right for you.

Do you remember about how long it took for myce colonization? (depending on the tech you used. I'm using PF atm. On day five and haven't seen much of what I can guess is myce development) ):

Jesus christ, this thread is 12 years old...
Anyway, I can tell you that it is not unheard of for PF tek cakes to take 3 weeks to even begin colonizing.
In any case, you necroing a thread after 5 days of no development is pretty silly
