ok.. My first flush was pretty dam good. I never got a chance to weigh all of the wet, but i was have to say there was close to about 150 grams from 1 8x8 Casing 5 1/2 pinr jars.
My question is this.. I had 1 monster one of the first onesx to grow, that was about 6 grams dry, the rest of them were about a gram or so dry (mayb e even less) I waited till the vail broke and they looked like they needed to be picked,
What causes the mushrooms to be larger? Should i use a different casing next time. I stuck with the basic Pure vermic, and i used the basic BRF/Vermic for my jars. This was my first try, and i can say i was impressed. But i would like some bigger shrooms next time.
Maybe i will have more luck with the EQ's..
Also anyone's opinions on T.C. Trip? I didnt think it was that intense, but it was fun...

Hey there,
We must have started our shrooms at the same time because we just finsihed picking our TC's today. There were the odd bigger-sized ones but most were average-sized...nothing spectacular (we haven't gotten our scale yet, but assume they are about a gram each). We used the PF-Tek method.
I don't know about making them bigger though, I can just tell you ours were probably about the same size and your results were probably more average than under-average. Let us know if you do find a method which yields larger mushrooms.

My lawyer has grown B+, TC, and Palanque and the TC's were by far the biggest when grown from the PK Tech cakes. When he cased them, they were smaller with a few exceptions. The B+ were about the same, although smaller all in all and the Palanques were the smallest and more prone to contams. TC's tend toward the visuals and less body high, than the B+ and Palanques. They don't seem to be as "nice" as the B+ and the Palanques, but that is just my opinion (they are probably called "Teacher" for a reason). We were thinking about mixing some together and see what we get. We're from the LSD age and can't really handle all that intense shit anymore, too old I guess, but I tend to like the TC's ability to get the visuals going agaiin, like LSD but shorter in time duration and the next day, I feel good, not like death warmed over. Happy Trails!

Not to push anyone's buttons, as I'm a newbie to the board, and although I'm not much of a cultivator, I've probably eaten a whole lot more shrooms, of different species, etc... than is good for you. I've found that different strains, despite their scientific appelations, and basic scientific fact about hallucinatory states and psilocybin usage in the body, may all have a different set of characsteristics. Just like different strains of weed have different highs, based on the complex interplay of oxidizing alkaloids, so do shrooms. The way in which tlhe actual mushroom is structured could have major effects on the metabolism of psilocybin into psilocin, and those variations could result in seriously different states of hallucinatory intoxication.
