It's a fairly tasty beveridge, but I've never seen it on tap before, only in those funky big-ass glass bottles.

But then again, I live in schottland.

I'm about to head out to the bar for some games of pool. I think I'll drink a few Newcastles while I am there.

Yeah all my friends hate it I dunno why. "Its just too heavy" w/e they can drink their miller lite cause "its so much better than bud light" both beers suck and taste the same.

i maybe 18, but i certainly dont fuck around when it comes to beer. I also enjoy Guinness. My dad seriously gave me one when i was 7. Been drinking since lol.

Its a somewhat decent brown ale, check out the alesmith nut brown ale, for an extremely good brown ale. Also Rogue makes one called hazelnut brown ale I believe.

Rogue is distributed all over the US I think, so just look for that company. Im not sure if they make 6 packs of that beer, although I think Ive seen some, but otherwise youd have to get it in a 22oz bottle.
Alesmith however is only distributed in Southern California, unless you go to a speciality liquor store, or beverage store.
But there are many other good brown ales, go to www.ratebeer.com and you can look up the best brown ales according to people who have tried the beer. You can probably find some brand youve seen around you before. Im not saying take their word as fact, but I must say, Ive had many a brown ale, and I agree with them that the alesmith one is probably the best.

I've tried all of rogue's most popular beers and have been disappointed with all of them. I don't know what it is, it just seems to bitter to me.

but Newcastle is good shit.

Im sorry, I don't like NewCastle as a beer at all. If you like NewCastle then you should LOVE Samuel Smiths NUTBROWN, which is the same style of beer but with more taste.

I dunno, but it seems like they have Dumbed down the taste of NewCastle during the past several years.

Can't help but comment on the situation, especially after working at a British "STYLE" Pub here in town with Over 100 different types of beer; none of those where domestic such as BUd or Coors. Also we didn't stock any Light beers, I mean come'on what is the point? We had a running Joke when new customers came in asking for Bud LIght or some other light beer. When someone asked for a Light beer, we would jokingly, and politely, ask them to leave. Then we would explain why we didn't carry light beers.

The same point from above also applies to Guinness Extra Stout. Its a product of Ireland, but the version we get here in the States is made by Labatts in Canada. For some reason it is very difficult to brew Guinness in other parts of the world and make it taste like the Stuff you get in the MotherLand, Ireland. Guinness will do during a pinch but I'd much rather have a Beamish or a Murphy's instead; which are both made and imported from Ireland.

Light beer is the biggest waste of money. And yes that applies to a lot of imported beers here in America.

My dad told me Beck's in Germany was much heavier than the Beck's we have over here. Most of America is a bunch of pussies unfortunately.

1 out of 10 Americans like heavy european beers.

I wanna go to my motherland(Ireland) and just hit up the pubs and talk to funny irish people (and get in touch with my roots)

BUT I NEED TO FIND THESE BEERS PEOPLE ARE MENTIONING. SAMUEL SMITHS NUTBROWN JUST SOUNDS DELICIOUS TO ME  :guinness:
