Arab nations denounce Sharon

Since Sharon said that Arafat was no longer a person that Israel could make peace with, I personally have worried that the situation could deteriorate into full scale war in the Middle East. Now not too long ago I saw a story(admittedly on CNN and haven't been able to find any other source or the story on-line) that claimed a group of Arab states had condemned Sharon as someone with whom peace could not be made. Is it me or does this sound like the threats that happen before war? In fact Israel has warned Beirut and Damascus to stay out of the current conflict. Israel has also violated Lebanon's airspace with helicopters, fighter jets, and drones. Now if the whole of the Middle East attacks Israel, I'm sure Israel could defend itself fairly well. I'm not really worried that much about either the Arabs or the Jews, let them kill each other. What worries me is that Ari Fleischer has raised the same doubts as Sharon about Arafat, as though the US is blindly following Israel. While the US has long shown its support for Israel, should the US really be backing Israel 100% right now? I personally fault Sharon for beginning the infitada(sp?) since he went to a place he knew would infuriate the Palestinians for personal and political gains. Clearly both sides are at fault, with much of the blame falling on Sharon and Arafat.

Palestine is sure to own VX, Anthrax, and maybe even nuclear warheads at this point. And even if they did'nt their allies do. If you think that Israel will declare war on Iran, Iraq, and Palestine Simultaneously, you are mistaken, why would bush risk his life of kingdom to gain more money? A full scale war in the Middle East with U.s. support would certainly develop terrorist actions on the capitol.

Iraq has the most advanced weapons program of any country in the middle east and still every defector from Iraq says the don't have nuclear weapons. Now if the country with the most advanced weapons(besides the weapons the US gives Israel) does not have nuclear bombs, how the hell would the Palistinians be even close to having them? As for VX and anthrax, it has been more or less confirmed that Iraq has them, but Iraq is not Palestine. As for my post, it was more directed at the comments made by the Arab nations condemning Sharon. Israel can start no greater war than it currently is engaging in. Now, my point was doesn't this sound like saber rattling from the Arab nations and Israel. Isn't saber rattling a prelude to war(although I'll admit that there's lots of such talk that never leads to war). Besides, my focus was should the US really be backing Israel if the Arab nations are so upset with Sharon that they would declare war on Israel.
>> If you think that Israel will declare war on Iran, Iraq, and Palestine Simultaneously
In response to that I'll direct you to my former statement: "Now if the whole of the Middle East attacks Israel, I'm sure Israel could defend itself fairly well." Defend itself, Middle East attacks Israel... where the hell did I talk about Israel starting a war?

since we're on the topic of war..
why arn't (or are there) people REALLY concerned about whats going on between india/pakistan? Both sides are building up like mad over the border, and there have been numerous skirmishes between their forces
both countries have nuclear arms, and a long history of hate (kashmir)
India has even declared Pakistan to be a terrorist state (supporting terrorists etc...) and has demanded the US to support their cause because their actions towards terrorists
who would take whose side in such a war? Pakistan supported the US incursion into Afganistan, but India proclaims Pakistan to be a terrorist state its upsetting that cnn thinks its more important to broadcast US marines enjoying turky in afganistan than informing/concerning people about the possible start of world war three...
now thats what i call a sticky situation... (heh)

India is a much better long-term ally. They are a relatively stable democracy, whereas Pakistan has coup after coup. I hope that Pakistan can make the transition to a secular democracy, but it doesn't look good. Also, India and Israel are growing closer all the time.

Don't forget to deport the white people too whose interests for which the government is always waging wars, be they business or huminitarian efforts. I mean hell, let's just deport everybody and then this country will be perfect.
