Good Co2 Buildup?

I was wondering if if was applicable to cover my casings upon entering the terr. with saran wrap air tight to build up co2 and promote the mycel. to take over the surface of the casings, then take it off and intiate pinning? Also, how long would you leave them covered if this were the way to go? Poke any holes in the wrap to release a little? Thanks,.

so......if I follow these ingredients:
The exact mix, to fill a filter patch bag 3/4 full is:

15 cups vermiculite
15 cups peat moss
4 1/2 cups crushed oyster shell
2.4 cups of hydrated lime
1 cup short of a gallon of bottled water

I will have two medium sized casings. My question is, should I cover the casings with syran wrap for the first few days to allow the co2 to help the mycel. grow through the casing layer? Also, can I use the microwave to sterlize my casing?? And should I bring it to field capacity after I nuke in the microwave or before? thanks

Use a bit less hydrated lime(perhaps 1 cup).

Yes, but don?t let owergrow the casing.

Yes, to pasteurize. 10 min on high is sufficient.

Anno is definitely more experienced than me, but, what dude does for the third question is:

microwave sterilize, then after the casing mixture has cooled, spray to capacity using H2O2 to distilled H2O in a ratio between 20-1 to 10-1 (5 - 10%).

Do not use as much lime as is in that recipie. I am experiencing that nightmare right now!!
