how can i sterilize my grow chamber before i birth the cake?

my cakes should be done soon so i was just wondering how to make my terrarium sterile so i can avoid sterilization. what if i just use a clorox disenfectant wipe or lysol spray? will that work?

You don't have to sterilize your grow chamber; you just have to make sure it's fairly clean. By the time your cakes are birthed, the mycelium is fairly well able to fight off bugs if you take reasonable precautions.

That said, just mix up a mild bleach solution (10%) and wipe things down. You'll be fine.

you don't need to sterilize your terrarium. if you're paranoid, wipe it out with some 1:10 bleach to water, then rinse with water.

As being quite paranoid myself :grin: , i spray it with a dense Lysol sollution (20cc per lt. ), wait like 10 minutes, wipe with cotton (or any clean cloth type thingee...)... And rub with Alcohol just before placing anything into it....

my friend gets a cotton ball and some rubbing alcohol. does the trick.

i usually fill it with a weak bleach water solution and let it sit for a minute or so, then rinse and wipe down with a couple alcohol swabs.

I wipe mine down with bread mold and spray it with WD-40

(don't do this by the way, leave it to the experts)
