one saturday a B&B marathon was on MTV2... GREAT! I thought, a good way to waste time. But for every 5 minutes of B&B there were 7 minutes of commercials... I am not joking, I had tivo and checked..... they would only show one episode of B&B per 30 minutes of slot time, pretty much.

it was agony, especially since there wasn't anything on ... but the worst thing is they played the same fucking commercials over and over again each time, namely one for some army video game.

anyway, as far as older shows go... stuff like 50s family sitcoms are boring as fuck...... though i used to like them when i was younger...

for new stuff? Generally speaking reality is ultra lame, though nanny 9-1-1 is neat.... trading spouses is kind of neat....... all this big brother, american idol etc bullshit sucks ass and a half though.

TV is the devil. It might not be in other countries where you get to see nudity and profanity, and they play movies uncut and commercial free... but TV in America = stupidity in a radiating box.

Fuck it's horrible..... sometimes even when I'm straight sober I watch my "favorite shows" and just feel no entertainment at all, just a sense of disgust, like... why do I watch this garbage, it's not that entertaining or new or unique or groundbreaking.......

It's a shame Arrested Development got the can, because that show man... it actually confused me some times because you have to PAY ATTENTION to catch the jokes the way things are paced, it required thoughtful viewing.... all around good stuff.

I dunno.

Did you see that one segment where one of the many chicks he is doing asks, "Do you want to be with me?" and he says, "yeahno". This question was a no-win question and he managed to weasel out of it. If he said "Yes" then he is locking himself into a commitment. If he said "No" then the girl would get pissed and he would not get sex from her anymore. Instead he blended "yes" and "no" together as if to say, "I like you but I'm confused right now" thus ensuring no commitment and continued sex. The guy is a fucking genius.

The news is pretty horrible, especially the 24 hour cable news. They are usually so desperate to attract viewers (and thus more advertising profit), that they routinely over-report minor stories, and make non noteworthy events into major stories. The sad part about about it is these broadcasters are making a large profit from other peoples misfortunes.
Since 9/11/01 I've made it a point to keep up on both national and international news. About 2 years ago, while watching a national cable news broadcast, the regular broadcast was interrupted by a special news alert. The alert was about a dog who had run out onto the ice on a partially frozen river. The dog was unharmed and presumably made it back to the shore without incident. The video was taken by a local news chopper. The sad thing about this story was that it generated more viewer feedback than any other news story that day. This was reported on national news. I can see devoting a few moments to a story like this on local news, but not on national news.
I often worry about the future, or lack there of, humankind. I also sometimes wonder if our species should be saved----

I fucking hate those "rebuilding the house for the family of 5 with the one retarded son, and the parents have sacrificed some much in their lives for this kid so ABC decides to give them a new house" shows.  They piss me off because it is created and created for one reason only, fat single women who have nothing goin on in their lives so they shit at home eating rocky roads ice cream and crying into their Anne Rice books everynight. 

I hate shows taht engineer you to feel a certain emotion, even though, seconds before the show, you didn't even know these people existed on this planet, not to mention they have a retarded son.  Yippee!!

yeah, any reality show, Trading spaces, fucking FEAR FACTOR! omg what a bunch of bullshit.. But joe rogan is cool because he told high times that he's stoned like 90% of the time on that show! lol!

I saw some bullshit on MTV called "that 70's house" and it was some of the stupidest shit!

anything on E! (except for sometimes they have interesting "behind the music" episodes)

also, i think 12 oz. mouse is boring as fuck. There was nothing funny about it at all...

oh, and CNN is a guilty pleasure for me, but I can't watch it too much because the news bums me out... plus I don't have cable.
