CYANS dark Blue cyans PICTURES

ON wensday I got a Nice amount of cyans. They all were really really blue when dried. Is this because they are really good or cold or what does that mean. here are the pictures.

That is the result of the oxidation of the psilocybin. It is no longer an active compound when it oxidizes, so there is some potency loss.

They dont normaly turn that dark apon drying unless ther was severe cellular damage caused by lets say....... frost

they do that whenever they're dried too slow. if they looked normal when picked I doubt frost has anything to do with it. like NWuser said, there will be some pretty major potency loss when they get that blue...

2 weeks is way too long. if you haven't dried your shrooms within around 3 days of them being picked, they'll go bad. I made the exact same mistake....my first find this season was the biggest of all my harvests, and it went mostly to waste cause i didn't know how to dry them. i dried them slowly over the course of just under a week, and they were all black and blue and looking hella gross and inedible. Just dry them out faster next time. It hasn't been raining much since then, so i haven't been able to make a big harvest yet....it sucks.

yup, as mentioned above, anything over 3-4 days is too slow and will usually lead to them turning very blue and losing a lot of potency...

people say heat is bad.............. but i say it isn't i dont listen to any ones advice except for my own...aka shcool of hard knocks.... My family has reptiles....So the heat lamps on the cages make good driers... A screen set on top of the lamp set up dries them out within a week depending on how thick or full the layer is. I have had ones that took over a week to dry out.. But with the dry heat there was never a problem....
