Just signed my life away!

Well, I went ahead and bought my new car.  A 2006 Hyundai Accent (GSI) :smile:  It's a nice little sporty looking thing.  It's "space silver"  :smirk:

I honestly don't know how to feel though.  I've really let my past debt get to me(with my home/property loan).  Although I've only got 4 grand left on all that, it still makes me pretty jittery about going even deeper into the hole.

My payments are bi-weekly and come out on the same day as my paydays(which is also deposited automatically).

What can I say...I'm so damn happy to have my first nice car.  It runs great, looks great.  But at the same time, I feel like I"m getting sucked further into mundane society.  I liked being on the outside, observant.  Now, I'm getting older and I guess getting worn down by it all.  I'm doing the whole buy a house, car and work all the time...and soon I bet I'll be getting married, having kids and buying that minivan  :thumbdown:

Like I say, I'm happy.  But not

:/ word of warning, I have a hyundai elantra....it causes me nothing but trouble....I've already replaced the rad, the transmission, the long piece of the muffler (I have no idea what thats called) and the brakes.

just keep the hyundai under warranty - And sell it after 50k miles.

I do valet - so i get all types of cars with all sorts of miles on them.

Kia and Hyundai (and Daywoo) fall apart after 50k.  Ford/Chevy (from my experience) can't make it past 125k.  Ive had hondas/nissans/toyotas with 150+K...and had one late 1970's Honda Civic with 275,000 miles.  Original engine.


Edit:  I'm not trying to down your car, you are right they are quite nice - I'm just letting you know of the distant future so you can be prepared.  :mushroom2:

my dad's chevy has almost 3k on it now, and he still hasnt had to replace anything really major. Just takes good care of it.

Ive got an hyundai accent and so far its gone through a lot of shit. major brake work, the enigine spews oil, on rainy days certain electrical atributes dont work

I'll just go ahead and say it, Hyundai's are fucking junk.

They just look cheap besides the fact that you can't keep them out of the shop, who's actually owned one that didn't have a heap of problems? No one I know.
