also, get some exercise of some sort! our bodies have evolved over time to be ACTIVE. so when you sit on your ass all day and eat junk food, you're fucking yourself up.

thanks for "getting me started," if you knowwhaumsayin'.

It seems to me that not very many people who complain about emo stuff expect to get any help. They just need a shoulder. If you tell them (in person, that is) to get over it, they'll hate you for it and repress further. But if you empathize and share your own personal emo stories and even pity them a little bit, they'll hate your for that too, and try to get better.

People just want something to hate. or something.

I've found that most people do not want real advice or real solutions to their problems, they just want someone to listen to them whine. What comes off as asking for advice is really just asking for a shoulder to cry on, while that person will continue on with their own destructive behavior and not actually take to heart any advice offered.
