See my post above.  The associated Press release does in fact, use the word "legalized".

Holy shit though, thats huge.

True, state and federal law enforcement can technically bust you, but it the city decriminalized it... I wonder how those politics will play out.
State and feds might threaten to pull funding ect...
Thats a huge step in the right direction. Furthermore, it wasn't just for medical puropses, and they clearly outlined their rationale for this ammendment. If Denver wins this, I know where I'm going to grad school...

So any law we can get is a good law. At least it shatters the illusion that there is no dissent to the government contention that pot is harmful and dangerous. It shows everyone that an entire major U.S. city's registered voters want pot. I fucking LOVE this.

Yes, this is good news.

Even though higher laws still pretty much override this, there has to be some starting point in order for those higher lows to change. This will get people all over the place thinking twice now and wondering why the heck this happened. As everyone said, it is a big step in a good direction.

With enough cities going in this direction, eventually states and federal levels may start to consider this too. This is VERY exciting and good news (even though I really don't smoke pot, I'm still excited).

it is never totally legal, but a lot of places are getting that way. It depends on what the majority of the people in that area want, and what they vote for.
California is decriminalized too..
