Uncle Lazo's EZ Syringe Tek

Just got done doing a little reading in the Shroomery's Mycelium Culture Tek section and came across something called Uncle Lazo's Mycelium Culture Tek.

It claims you can take a partially colonized jar, take out a piece of substrate, (colonized part only) and put in a jar of steralized water, shake to distribute mycelium, then draw a syringe or syringes to use for innoculating other jars.

It also claims that you can see impressive growth in the newly innoculated jars in as little as 48 hours.

Anybody have any experience with this tek? Any info would be appreciated.

well yes not to long ago my girlfriends beaver made a syringe out a colonixed jar using the tek. it saw nice quick growth but there is mold at innoc points. i think the beaver needs to be more sterile... by the way if green mold gets overgrown by mycelium is it safe??

This person I know tried that tek and was pleased with the results. He did the tek and was very sterile. He had six pint jars of brf ready to go, the first two jars he put one cc in each hole(4). The second two jars he put two cc's in each hole. The third pair of jars he put three cc's into each hole. After six days of waiting and very little growth the size of a bb. He was worried, but the next day he saw all the jars covered with thin mycelium, some more than others. Three days after that the first two jars were doing great with good myc. coverage. One jar out of the second pair had mold, the other jar was awesome, four big blotches of myc. running from top to bottom. The last pair of jars were contaminated badly with mold. Three out of six.

look up anno's mycelium inoculation technique tek. I haven't read uncle lazo's but I'm willing to bet anno's is much better.
