When is the end of the WA season?
    #4859015 -

So it's been starting to get frosty in the morning in the Seattle area. Generally speaking the first major frost indicates the end of the edible mushroom season. So I am wondering if these morning frosts would be considered extreme enough to prevent edible mushrooms from fruiting until spring.

That whole frost thing is an urban legend. I've seen people find Cyans 2 or 3 weeks after half a foot of snow.

Frost slows things down, but it certainly does not signal the "end of the season."

I just walked by 'my' Cyan site today in Snohomish Co. and there were still pins as well as matures. All seemed to be still healthy and growing. I wasn't up early this morning, but on thursday morning, there was alot of frost.

Sorry for any confusion but I was wondering about edibles such as Chanterelles and Boletes. Thanks for answering you guys and I will assume that the same applies for edibles as it does for actives.
