What was your life 8 years ago?
    #4865057 -

Everyone looks to the future. Whereas the past has already been with a story.

8 years ago, I was an overweight nerdy shy type of kid. Didn't care about school. All I wanted to do was play computer games (Ultima Online anyone? fuckin more addictive than heroin)

I had acne galore. I didn't talk much. Drugs and alcohol were unknown to me... but goddamn did they make an entrance a couple years later.

WOW, have I ever changed. I'm such a different person.

you mon frere? :smirk:

I was 12, in 6th grade, and didn't really know what the hell was going on.

All I knew was that I didn't want to get up every morning for school.

ROFLMAO! I quit that game cold turkey several years ago, and it was hard. My account ran out one day, and I had no more money to send. No more cruising with my friends, raising hell and laying waste to everything and everyone. (And getting killed as often as not.) What a seriously addictive game. I owned a house when my account ran out, but I had a co-owner who probably refreshes it to this day, since he can never sell it without me, lol!

My life is much better than it was 8 years ago. Good job, a fine woman, and lots of free time. Life is good.

8 years ago i was 13 and in the process of adjusting to live in a new house that my mom bought since she had just divorced my piece of shit stepdad. i was very aggressive and full of misdirected anger as a result of the shitty stepdad situation, so i didn't have many friends in school at the time. i usually stayed on the internet and played random MUDs, chat-based RPGs, and other various computer games.

3 years later i got a driver's license, kicked the gaming and started making friends..

Dude.. I know how you feel. I went on a two week camp trip and left my sister very precise instructions on how to refresh my house. She didn't, I nearly went insane. That game was the best and worst time of my life hahaha. It was fun though, goddamn.

it was the last year i lived in toledo, ohio. soph-junior year of high school. i went to school and worked at the toledo zoo. during the weekends my friends and i would wander around the streets and forests of maumee, ohio. often while on dxm. which was at that time, the only drug i had ever done. after dark we would trip in playgrounds, the forest, or while walking along the railroad tracks. such a great time.

the next year i moved to arizona. and my best friend from back then, who first gave me drugs, is now a cop. we're still on good terms, but i haven't talked to him in three or four years. i have always wondered how honest i could be with him now. he was my best friend from kindergarten until moved to arizona when i was 17. someone you spent your entire youth with wouldn't bust ya would they?

8 years ago i was 11 about to turn 12. i used to walk over the hill from my parents farm to my best friend's house who lived 2 miles away by road, but only 1/4mile if you walked through the thickets and creeks. i must say these were the best years of my life. i discovered caffiene (and its use as a recreational substance) and marijuana the following year. 8 years ago i was in a very major transitional period where i lost the personality of calvin from calvin and hobbes. and became a creepy deranged teenager.

no savings, soon to be jobless, wife supporting our household.

I decided I would rule the world
