Water drops appearing inside cultivating jar?
    #486361 - 12/10/01 06:45 PM (22 years, 1 day ago)

My jars are almost done cultivating now, and i just noticed water drops forming on the sides (sides with the mold on it), is that suppost to happen or is there too much moisture? Thanks!

"Sides with the mold on it" <--- Well that is definately NOT supposed to happen.

If ya had a healthy jar and it had noticeable condesation on trhe side of the jars I would say its a little to moist. Sometimes to alleviate this i remove tape from my holes to allow evaporation and shake the substrate in the jars to absorb the extra water. This is totally hit and miss however (especially since your allowing contaminted air to touch ya substrate), its easier to just start over. Over wet jars usually ALWAYS lead to contams eventually IMHO. Hope that helps

Peace

Mavrick, it is my understanding that condensation inside the jar is normal. Someone said as long as their aren't puddles in the bottom of ur jar u should be allright.
