Turned on the heat today

I haven't turned on my air conditioning or heat for 2 1/2 to 3 months. I've held out this long in an attempt to keep my electric bill low. It has been low, too. It's been around $59.00 every two months. However, it's just too damn cold in my apartment now to keep this heat off.

Anyone else hold out as long as I did?

I've had it off for the past month. It's getting cold outside, but it's staying warm in my apartment. Hopefully, it will last.

Where do you live?
If I had my own place I'd just wear thick clothes in my house and only turn on the heater when i take a shower. But even then I could just use a space heater. :rolleyes:

i have my heater on but its never really in use... its set at 64 when i wake up its usually at 65 and and then it raises to 70 during the day and 68 at night...

Space heaters work very well. You put it on a surface of course, its not like its hard to NOT get it wet or get zapped.  :tongue:

Northeast USA.  I tried putting on thick clothes and wrapping myself in a blanket and whatnot.  It's still very uncomfortable for my exposed parts.

Oh okay you live up north so yeah thats understandable.

I live in Florida so I guess i could get away with something like that...although it does get pretty damn cold here during the winter.
