honest question about banning

This is not a flaming thread, honest questions only.

*When you are banned site-wide, can you read your PMs?
*When you are banned site-wide, can you read any of the forums?
When you are banned from only one forum, can you read that forum?

I've been banned from OTD and I couldn't access OTD period. No read only access--nothing.

When sitewide banned, you have NO access to any individual account items. Such as PM's, etc.

Otherwise, i can't tell ya.

If you are banned from a forum i, i don't think you can read that forum.

You aren't banned from any forum currently.

No more questions, just a comment.

Actually BEFORE the comment heres the hypothetical--> Lets say Dumbass3124212 gives Keener1231422 a bunk trade rating. One week later Keener1231422 sees this and reports it. A few hours later Dumbass3124212 is site-banned for 24 hours.

So basically he's not going to know what is going on, and will probably just make a(nother) puppet. That's my comment take it or leave it.

If the puppet comes up in any identifiable way, it will be banned.

Fucking with trade ratings is a no-no.
If you traded, then leave a rate.
If not, leave it the fuck alone.
If it were an accident, change it ASAP.

If ANYONE finds their account banned, they should refer themselves to www.shroomery.org and find the lil complaint/whatever link.
Because, as you've seen in your years, puppets are under the guillotine from the minute they log on.

Then you choose a venue.
THen you enter the wording.

Forwarded to Administration, as i recall.
THey will reply via Email.
(as i understand it)

I can't believe that it would be worth the time for a 24 hour ban unless a SERIOUS grievance is in motion.
Even then, what can't wait a day?

if you've been site banned, when you login, there is a note
indicating that you've been banned and why.

I should note that if you have been labeled for maximum termination, your IP address will likely be flagged, in which case you may not be able to see the ban reasoning upon attempting login. However, a copy of the ban reasoning and duration will have been sent to the email address you have on file - and if your email address is out of date, that is your problem.

I can see the reasoning for that but most poeple I think have dynamic IPs (I do anyways). In fact I bet if you were to ban me, rono and thor would also be banned if they have the same high speed service I do. Hey that gives me an idea....

lol, for your ban to ban Rono and Thor as well, we would need to ban a range, which is something we reserve only for extreme circumstances.  I actually believe that most broadband users (which thankfully most of our troublesome users use :wink: ), manage a static IP.  At any rate, IP bans are not all that common as we're more concerned with just getting the message across of what is appropriate and what isn't.  Only after repeated ignorance of our guidelines will we turn to IP bans.

That's snazzy. Now could you please fix it so I can post without using a proxy. When you banned Hankys IP you also banned mine. Considering we are 2 seperate people and I've never once been banned I find it irksome to have to use a proxy to post.

Oh and adjust - if you use AOL they can't ban your IP cos majority of AOL users have the same IP.
