Hey guys, thanks for all the advice. Today I smoked some pot that my sister left me. It has been an amazing high; this is the first time I've had a chance to listen to some music while stoned, and it's amazing! I was paranoid for a while, but then told myself that nothing could go wrong, and now I feel no paranoia. So I don't think it was an allergic reaction. Sorry if there's spelling errors - I am pretty high still (Hahaha I can't believe mr.t is on here!)

I dont understand how people get paranoid on pot...but heres my advice.
Say fuck it, if you think somethign bad is going to happen, just say fuck it. If your at a safe place then dont worry about it. PLay some music, play a game or watch a movie or just chill out with your friends and talk. If your parents come home...think about what they could actually do. You MIGHT be on punishment for a few weeks but oh well. A few weeks out of your WHOLE life is a small price to pay for higher thinking...and giggling madness

I'm sorry but it doesn't work that way. A thought in your head comes from a feeling, so you may rationally say to yourself, "there is nobody downstairs in my house and I didn't leave the doors open" but it won't matter as long as you have the FEELING that something bad may have happened. When I'm high, paranoia is like a theme to my thinking, everything that happens around me is interpreted in a way that makes me scared.
Same thing with trippin, you can't always control your feelings.

I just dont understand how people get paranoid on pot, nor do I understand how people have "visuals" while high on pot.

The THC gets in your brain and causes it to function differently. Some certain part of your brain that controls your level of awareness of threats around you, fear, gets activated. Another part of your brain that functions as the rationality keeper stops functioning as well so the part that controls your fear ends up exagerrating everything.
Thats just a wild guess. probably doesn't make much sense.
I've never had any 'visual hallucinations' with my eyes open but with my eyes closed I can somewhat see patterns.
Does anybody ever feel that they've hurt their eyesight permanently from being high? I think its just a coincidence that I've been getting perscription glasses over the past 6 months while i've ALSO been smoking. I tend to just space out on things and I can feel the focus of my eye/eyes change, and sometimes it makes me go 'Ow!!!' and then my eye will feel kinda strange for the next few seconds. My friend told me that I sometimes go crosseyed a little bit when I space out.
