I already figured this out a while back and I always repeat it whenever someone makes this thread.  Girls do not like jerks.  Girls like confident guys.  Jerks just happen to be confident.

In my experience, girls who go after "jerks" are girls who like drama.  Girls who like drama are not satisfied in a happy, non-dramatic relationship, because it gets boring to them subconsciously, and they need to do something to spice it up.  Along comes a guy who will fly off the handle and freak on them once in a while, cheat on them, and in general tream them like shit, but every once in a while give them a small amount of hope that she can miraculously change them from the prick that they truly are.

It's all about the challenge with those kind of girls.  I used to be one of them...luckily I snapped out of it by like 16, and realized being happy and stable is much nicer.  :heart:

I always looked at it the following way:

The girls who are most attractive to guys are usually the girls who flaunt their sexuality and desire attention from guys.

The girls who flaunt their sexuality and desire attention from guys are usually the girls who were either neglected or abused by their fathers or in some way.

Because many of these girls are looking to either rebel against a dad they hate or replicate the intimacy (however fucked up) they had with their dad, or both of those things, they're going to choose asshole/neglectful guys.

At least that's my thought. Maybe it's just how I rationalize picking boring girlfriends.

Learyfan is right.  Girls don't like jerks, they like guys who are confident.  And guys who are jerks often look like they are confident while the nice, accommodating guys look like they are not confident.  That's pretty much it in a nutshell.  Even the truly great girls - not just the hot looking ones - deep down want a guy who will not let a girl or anyone else push them around.

Saying that the girls who like jerks are all bitches is just sour grapes.  You know it isn't true.  How many times has a truly fine girl told a guy "I just want to be friends"?  That means that she likes him but he doesn't get her juices flowing because she thinks he's a wimp.    All he had to do was make it clear that he would kick her to the curb if she didn't respect him and she WOULD.

You want the girl of your dreams?  Act like you could take her or leave her (at first) and if she treats you badly in any way, and I mean if she shows you the SLIGHTEST disrespect, tell her to take a hike AND MEAN IT!  She must truly believe that she can't control you.  She needs to be a little afraid of you.  She needs to be afraid to treat you badly.  You don't have to be a jerk, but you can't let her think that she has got you whipped.

That's it.  It doesn't matter what you look like.  The Beauty and the Beast is not just a stupid Disney movie.  It is actually an ancient myth with deep roots in the human psyche. A man that a woman is not a little afraid of is, to her, not really a man.  And I don't mean necessarily in the sense of physical violence.  She can just be afraid that you will tell her to fuck off and mean it.  But if she thinks she can get away with mistreating you, you can just go home and jerk it boy, because she is going to give her lovin to someone else.

For a woman to ever be satisfied with a man, she needs to know that the Beast lurks within.

I'll give you an example.  I am a very mellow guy.  I would never lay a hand on my woman in anger.  She knows I will tell her to FO if she treats me with disrespect, because I have done it.  But hit her?  No.      So the other day, she hides behind a fence at my house and when I walked through the gate she jumped out to try and scare me.  She succeeded.  Out of instinct, I slugged her.  I pulled back at the last microsecond when I realized it was her, but too late.  I nailed her.  Not too hard, since I pulled it, but hard enough so she knew it wasn't a joke.  Was she mad?  On the contrary.  It turned her on!  She said "now I know you would protect me".  Get it?

Girls want to tame a beast.  They don't want someone who is already tame.  Let her see the beast.  THEN you will be free to be the nice guy you really are.  She will be happy and you will be happy.
