Weird gnomes before my grandma died/DMT
    #4746536 - 10/02/05 09:36 PM (11 years, 2 months ago)

First of all, I don't know if this kinda stuff belongs here rather than anywhere else, but I figured this was my best bet. Anyways, a few years ago, my grandmother died, I'm not entirely sure why, but she started to get really lost towards then end of her time. My mother said that she was always talking about little gnomes in her backyard/house taking things from her. When I first heard this, I figured she was just really senile before dying. Years later, and a couple months after finishing "DMT: The Spirit Molecule", by Rick Straussman, I put two and two together for this first time. Basically, in the book, Straussman talks about how DMT in our brains could possibly have many functions, one of which is being released when we die. In the experiences part of the book, there are many people who experience many different entities: clowns, gnomes, elves, reptiles and the like. I remember McKenna refering to elves/gnomes a lot too. Anyways, I just wondered if you guys think her getting lost towards the end of her time had to do with the release of DMT. If I remember correctly, she started getting kinda quirky about 2 or so weeks before she passed. Any other thoughts/experiences pertaining to this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, the few times I've done DMT, there has always been some sort of entity. In my case, the entities looked like buddhas or Hindu gods.

No sorry dude. That kind of stuff just happens sometimes nothing to do with fairy tale dmt releases and such. A dmt experience generally doesn't take place in a time period of weeks let alone hours.

I figured it didn't have anything to do with it, just kinda weird how she was seeing gnomes.

How do you know, when was the last time you were in the process of dying?

I've heard of people who are dying having several mystical experiences in the weeks before death. This could be attributed to a loss in their brain's ability to break down DMT.

I dont know what exactly they were really, I just remember my mom saying my grandmother was seeing elvish/gnome like creatures. The only possible dmt type thing i was thinking possible would be short spurts where she would hallucinate them. She wasn't seeing them all the time, just everyonce in awhile for those last couple weeks. Just brainstoming here, I thought it was interesting.
