That's too kind, robot.

But sleeping in my car in the pouring rain in the LES was a blast!

I met the nicest New Yorker in London. His name was Vinnie and had the pure NY accent.

Ha. There is no stereotypical new yorker...just a new yorker stereotype.

 There are "real" people everywhere.

Not every single person in chicago is "real."

did I say they are?

the dick attitude which is quite common in nyc (as you've admitted)
finds its equivalent in the "friendly-but-not-fake" attitude
common in the midwest or chicago. personally, I find this to be
more "real" and more welcoming than the tough-guy dick attitude.

I find people's open displeasure with those around them refreshing I guess. :smirk:

I found the people there to be dicks mainly because when I got there I was driving all around lower manhattan trying to find an honest car mechanic. Good luck to anyone looking for one of these.

I was with bi0's line of thinking regarding NY for awhile because you New York fuckers come to NJ and think you own the place. But being around NY Shroomery members who aren't belligerent at all has changed my mind on that pigeonholing. But I still hate New York and only wish to go there for a game at Shea or a possible future gathering.

I would never act like I owned NJ...what a bad investment that would be.

i live on long island so i can go whenever. im staying there for about a week in november with some friends of mine in a band called Cleave all the way from Austria for their U.S. tour. you should check them out. they're playing 3 or 4 clubs around the city and i'll most likely join them on guitar for an encore or two. gonna be a good time.

The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity. ~ Albert Einstein

friendly can be fake too. New yorkers may have that negative attitude but you will hear the funniest shit if your ego can take it . i find it amusing how a city can be so witty and sarcastic even the old ladies, especially the old ladies actually :smirk:

Never been there and could care less. It just seems like a dirty cramped concrete jungle from what I see in movies or hear about it. Im shure its actually nice though. Maybe I should check it out sometime and from there go to niagra falls or something.

Never been (except when I was like 2.. but that doesn't count) don't really have any desire to go. I've been to most major cities in the US, hate most major cities in the US. I'm sure New York has its perks like any other city.. but from everything I've heard/seen I really have no desire. DC is more than enough city for me. But I'm pretty sure I'll end up in New York sometime anyway.. probably for a gig.

People go about their own busy lives, there are way too many people in that city to smile and nod at every one. Every time I've approached someone with a question about directions, anything, they have been nice and helpful.

Now Bukkake is talking about Bennies. They suck. They come from North Jersey/Staten Island and think they run shit down here. Those bastards!
