So...if one were to set up an ideal fogged environment for reishi conch formation, you'd use an ultrasonic in an enclosed area as the antlers develop, then add FAE like with a coolmist?


Sorry...Stamets has good information, but implementing his designs aren't easy for a the home-based grower. Cheers.

I'm not so sure you really get that much more from conks. Take a look at the coffee can grow above. A block that size in Stamets greenhouse with mist nozzles going would have one or two conks on it. All those antlers easily add up to the mass of two conks. The main consideration from my standpoint is I can't get a misting fog 24/7 without ruining the house due to the fact my mini-greenhouse is in my bedroom. If you have an outdoor greenhouse or buiding for your grow, go for it. You can also get spores from the antlers. The very tip where they're white is the surface that will drop the spores.

Edited to change the word 'conks' to 'antlers'. Brain farted while typing. We all know conks drop spores. I meant to say the antlers do too if you're patient and wait for them.

I mashed the hell out of my spawnbags 2 days ago...the shit is recovering really fast.  Almost ready to be spawned.  I :heart: reishi mycelium.
