I plan on tripping with my kids, and hopefully with my grandkids as well(of course, I'd wait until they were in their mid-teens before doing so).

That is a fantastic tat, if I thought I could find an artist good enough I have one of them. I've wanted a mushroom tat for years but never found the right image. I want one that will still look good in years to come and will only be instantly recognizable to other shroom heads.

I'm planning on getting my first tattoo, it is also going to be a mushroom.  And that is exactly what I'm thinking of, without the turtle.  The mushrooms are the perfect design that I want.  Very animated, colourful, that "dripping, oozing" effect...very cool  :thumbup:  Somewhere in the tattoo I want the caterpillar from alice in wonderland.  I am totally going to bring that picture in, to give the artist an idea of what I want.

I've been looking for trippy cubensis for a while. I'm convinced there isn't any trippy mushroom art that actually looks like cubensis, I've done an extensive search and asked around the forums... The best I've found is pictures of cubensis that have been modified to look more trippy.

Okay, so I have been inked. :rocket: It was about as painful as I expected.:eek: But this was just a little one. I can't even imagine a large tattoo. Ouch! Of course, I'm a bit of a wuss. :smile:
Anyway, I went in with a little outline for the shape, and told her to shade it in with blues. I definitely like it, I'm glad I had her do it in several different colors. :thumbup: Now I have to design my whole back around that little shroom. :smile:

I think mine has a cubensis shape, at least more than an amanita shape, which most mushroom tattoos are of. I was thinking realistic, but knew I didn't want it white and tan. Hence the colors.

I'm thinking fleshy/orange colored cap, black/brown gills, white/gray stem, I could draw it, but it'd suck

Yeah, but I didn't want a white and orange tattoo. I like a little color, and the blue is not only psychedelic, it's a natural reaction in the cubensis. So it's like a well-handled mushroom that blued darkly. :smile:
