Very weak of you to ban people for going much less off topic than in the typical pub thread...just because it was your thread and you thought they were disrespecting you. Your multiple threads whining about no one selling you drugs and giving much too specific locations violate IMPORTANT rules for the safety of the counter-culture...yes more important than the rule violated when you got butthurt for people bringing humor into a bitchfest about obtaining drugs. I think The Pub would be much better off without you as a mod.

That sums it up. If it wasn't your thread, it seems you wouldn't have given a shit, and probably wouldn't have even given punishment a thought. Click through some threads other than your own and you'll see there is a lot of making fun of things the stereotypical Pub member holds dear. You'll see sarcasm in about every thread to deal with anything hippy/rave/music.

I hope pride won't prevail and someone up top will recognize the absurdity of enforcing a rule only when it personally affects a mod and demod arbitrary rule enforcers.

and I wish I could show you all the threads in the Mod forum where Mods have been questioned on why they have taken certain actions on something.

Not only the Admins question the actions of Mods...but other Mods question other Mods on actions taken.



I don't like to ban anyone.
I give a warning before I ban anyone...except a puppet raising hell in the Mushroom Cult forum.
I'll ban a spammer in a heart beat...cause we all hate spammers!~

Once in a great while there will be a fight in the Mushroom Cult forum...and I'll ban both parties for 24 hours to let them cool off a bit.
But I usually don't...and issue them warnings.
If the member responds to the warning and gets nasty with me...I'll ban them for 24 hours...I don't put up with that kind of behavior.
But I don't hold grudges and let things go.


I will say this...being a Moderator isn't always a picnic or a walk in the park.
You really have to love this place to put up with some of the abuse that we get as being Moderators.
But...a good Moderator doesn't hold grudges against people that he has had problems with.
If a Moderator does hold grudges...that Moderator could be very biased against the member that he has had to deal with.

I hope that no Moderators are holding personal grudges and are using their power to settle scores!~

I know for a fact that Ythan, Geo and Thor wouldn't put up with this kind of behavior...just from the posts that they have made in the Mod forum.

I'd also like to remind everyone...that we Mods are members just like you.
Alot of us were voted in as Mods by the people in the forums that we Moderate.
Only a few Moderators have been made Mods by nominations from other Moderators.
So in short...you the members have picked the majority of the Mods that protect and serve you here at the Shroomery.
