Sup Fig....... A pic would certainly help. But I've never heard of finding one at wall mart. But I have found one at Home depot.. Post a pic and compare it with other pics on the net , like that thread of Lizard king he posted a few weeks ago, in the ethno garden. Are you looking to grow it or just consume it??? : ) Oh by the way did you get a present in the mail yet????

Peyote is basically, really illegal, so I kinda doubt you'll be finding it in any store, well stateside anyway.

I've looked throught cacti at the wal-marts, while they are interesting cacti, they're not psychadelic cacti.

dried peyote, fresh/live peyote, & peyote seeds all seem to be illegal in the usa... genus Lophophora
san pedro & relatives appear to be legal in the usa (well, not to actually eat 'em...) live plants/cuttings, seeds, and possibly dried slices... genus Trichocereus
if you really want to know more, try visiting www.erowid.org or www.lycaeum.org to start...

I just found 2 more beatuies this week at home depot, nice baby pedros(Tr. pachanoi) they were only about 4-5" tall, but I can't ever pass by a pedro or peru and not buy it, no matter how big/small it is.

These cacti can be found every so often in stores like home depot, lows, fred myers etc...but you better look at lot of pics before you go buying what you think is a pedro. There are lots of other genus that look similar, for example look out for myrtillocactus geometrizans, and and cereus or pilocereus cacti, also a few stentsonia(sp?) that are simialr to perus.

Johnnyshaggswhoknowswhat

I've picked up some real decent large Trichocereus Pachanoi
at my local Walmart labeled "candle cacti" and from CactusKing.

if they are infact trichocerius pachonaoi (which i'm sure they would be if that's what they said), of course they would 'work' how they are supposed to   also take into account that the amount of mescaline in each varies greatly according to growing conditions

Actually, I misspoke. I musta had cactusking on the brain for some reason. They were purchased at walmart but walmart had gotten them from Altman Plants. Altman Plants had tagged them as trichocereus pachanoi "candle cactus". Being familiar with that cactus, I in fact recognized them at the time as pedros. I also know Altman Plants to be a reputable vendor.

And yeah, I gave them to my friend Asa Hutchinson who consumed them and reported that they were real decent specimens. Keep in mind that when you do get the real McCoy, they can vary greatly in potency nonetheless.
