Unfortunately , they are still keeping him in another office within FEMA for now. Some Army guy took over his position as director of Katrina recovery efforts.

The news said it happened as the result of a storm of criticism about his ability to do the job.

He was helping to make the U.S. look like a bunch of retards to the rest of the world. Glad he's out and a man who can kick some ass in in.

Yeah, it is unfortunate that he still has a job at FEMA though. He should have never got it in the first place. Did you see Jon Stewart knock him on the Daily Show at all? It was great :smile:

On the news today they said the management experience he had before this position with the Arabian Horse Assc. had him managing just 2 people. They also said Mike Brown expressed a wish to step down.

It's  Army Admiral Allen that took over.

I said this 3 days after katrina, that bush needs to can the head of fema or it would look like he agreed with their slow ass responce time. At the same time some people on here were touting how good of a job fema was doing lol.

I think when Mike Brown told news reporters on Thursday night that he just found out people were at the Convention center, he nailed his coffin. After that, I havn't heard anyone being in support of his ability to handle this one competently.
