a shit load of questions for all
    #4617773 - 09/03/05 11:49 PM (11 years, 5 months ago)

Hello all. I'm looking for some personal answers for my questions not just the typical "book response". So now on with it.

The drugs i want to focus on are opium, peyote, cocaine, mushies, marijuana

1) Explain the effects of any of the above drugs.
(I know its near impossible to describe but lets give it a try)

2) Compare/contrast effects of drugs

3) Best/worst experience on any of above drugs

4) Feelings you have

5) Physical and mental effects

6) Common flashbacks, if applicable

The questions are just kind of a guide. feel free to vary from them however you see fit.

so now onto some examples/my answers.

1) weed: I just want to chill and talk. Not just a normal type of talking i want to get into the deep conversations that are only easily obtainable while high. You know when you pass out and when you first awake and you have that "whoa" effect, i think that feel almost like being stoned (or the closest thing i have to relate to it).

mushies: The most obvious things to notice for me are the brighter colors, melting of simple patterns, and CEV of colors swirling in a never ending tunnel. When I'm tripping I always have that little part of me in the back of my mind that still has a grip on what is going on, except on lvl 5 obviously.

2)weed vs mushies: hard to really compare these two but I'll give it a go. For me paranoia is a common effect from these two drugs. this is harder than i thought, apples to oranges, i would really love to hear what someone has to say about mushies vs. peyote or weed vs. opium.

3)weed: (best) as already said all the crazy conversations.
(worst) the extreme paranoia that can come over you.

mushies: (best) when i was looking into my wife's eye and saw how beautiful it was.
(worst) not being prepared for a lvl 5 and trying to fight it, thinking i was going crazy.

4) weed: (good)reaching nirvana, happiness, respect/love of others
(bad)paranoia, depression

mushies: (good) complete bliss, one with self, love, experiencing everything and nothing all at once
(bad) paranoia, dancing hand in hand with insanity around a tree stump, experiencing everything and nothing all at once

5) weed: (mental) burnt, difficulty with short term memory
(physical) munchies, fatigue

mushies: (mental) able to see everything clearer, some memory problems but not enough to really consider a problem.
(physical) extreme hangover, slight pain in legs and back.

6) mushies: a few days after tripping i can look at the clouds while walking and it seems like they are morphing just like in a trip. simple square patterns can have the whole morphing effect also.

I'm really sorry for making this so long but i hope you enjoyed reading it and even more so enjoy responding.

peace

The drugs i want to focus on are opium, peyote, cocaine, mushies, marijuana

1) Explain the effects of any of the above drugs.

Opium: I've only experienced the true stuff once, but if my memory serves me, it's like a warm blanket enveloping you. You become very relaxed and nothing really matters. Everything is simply perfect! Sometimes you can nod off and go into elaborate fantasy/dream worlds which is really cool.

Peyote: Never had a powerful experience from it, but I did experience the lower levels of it, and it's rather euphoric and energetic. All I felt like doing for a good half hour was dance to some chilled out music such as the Dead.

Cocaine: Short lasting high that makes you feel as though you could conquer the world. Anything is within your grasp. Oddly enough I found it boosted my creativity.

Mushrooms: Psychedelic. Everything is connected, you hear things, see things, and all your emotions are heightened. Psychedelics don't give just one uniform type of experience, so it's very difficult to describe.

2) Compare/contrast effects of drugs

Really is apples and oranges

3) Best/worst experience on any of above drugs

Marijuana
Best: Can't pinpoint just one, but there were a few times that stand out; getting incredibly stoned with some good friends, having some good food, talking about nothing in particular and just hanging out.
Worst: Smoking too much out of a gravity bong, and tossing and turning for hours with an incredibly fast heart rate, trying to go to sleep and praying to god that I wouldn't die.

Mushrooms:
Best: Taking a low dose, watching Baraka and meditating.
Worst: Taking 4 grams (highest dose I ever took), in a bad set and setting, felt like I was being possessed by an octopoidal demon (could have been a jelly fish) and thinking I was going to die for a good three hours or so.

5) Physical and mental effects <-- 4 fits in here

Mushrooms:
Physical: sweating, body temperature fluctuations, upset stomach, pupil dilation, heart rate increase
Mental: Hallucinations, massive confusion, religious experiences

Marijuana:
Physical: Stomach calmative, dry mouth, heart rate increase
Mental: Mild sedative, mild hallucinogen, paranoia, anxiety, euphoria, calm, etc.

6) Common flashbacks, if applicable

Mushrooms: After having a hell trip, I had an anxiety disorder that was very bad for about a year afterwards, and still is around, but is more manageable. I even had some full blown panic attacks.

Sorry man, but this is the wrong forum and that's entirely off topic.

(P.S. I don't know)
