Took these images a few years ago in Changmai, Thailand of a cobra being milked for venom to sell to a local hospital. Kids bring in gunny sacks of captured poisonous snakes to the market. a man buys them for a few hundred bahts per snake and then milks them. They are then released back into the wild and then later recaught by other children or farmers or villagers.
btw, i was bout one foot from the snakes face.
Here are four iamges I took at the time to record this cool imagery.
They also milk other poisonous snakes caught by children adn adult rice paddie workers and Tribal village peoples
I was just at a man's house who sells tons of snakes (non-poisonous). He pulled some of them out. He kept on saying "I promise you. These snakes will not bite. Trust me." etc.. One of the snakes fucking bit him on the leg and drew blood.
