Ok well they didnt really take him but i do have to find another home for him. My landlord found out i had him and payed me a visit. I have 10 days to find him a new home. Luckly my girls grandmother is going to look after him untill our lease is up and i can get a house (hopefully). So he is going to have a good home for the next couple of months but im still gonna miss him.

if you owned rental property and peoples dogs trashed it and left dog odor and you had trouble renting the next time because of this odor/damage....what would you do....no dogs...or charge more money..
He could have kicked you out, right? And you perhaps broke the lease?
Give him a break... He didn't break the rules.. did he?
And I love animals of all kinds.... You should have moved to a place that allowed dogs in the 1st place....right? Kinda not fair to the dog that he has to be relocated because of your negligence...not the landlord's

I agree with you, Eco, somewhat. Though if the owners of the dogs can handle them and ensure that they will not stink or damage anything, I don't see why irresponsible dog owners should ruin it for all future tenants with no exceptions.

I own rental property and I have had a renter that let his dog trash my house before. He has no idea if you are the kind of person that will let that happen or not.
Good carpet costs alot and that is usually the first thing that is ruined. Not all landlords put good carpet in but some of us do so renters can have a nice place too.
I am sorry about your dog. I am alittle more flexable, I would have at least given you the chance to show me you could handle having a dog but I only have one house. If your land lord has several apartments he may not have the time.
Hopefully you will get that house!

Yeah its a big apartment complex with Townhome style apts. I wanted to go to a place that allows dogs but i cant afford it right now so i did what i could with what i had and i got away with having a dog for several months and would have continued to if someone didn't report me. He is a very good dog doesn't pee/poo in the house doesn't smell at all in fact you wouldn't even know he was there at all unless you saw him or a told you. (kinda obvious seeing him and all but if i put him in my room when maintenance come and shit) That's another good point maintenance came to fix some of my appliances and they had no clue a dog lived there.

I wish they would have understood that. Well if you ever rent again after this try to rent from an individual. Complexes and corporately owned property can't (really just won't) bend the rules.
Start looking long before your lease is up and maybee you can find that nice but not so expensive place that will take animals.

Im looking to rent-to-own a house, with my next move they are the same price as an apt (if not only about $100 more a month depending on size) - And every payment goes towards me owning the house or if i need to i can move without selling the house just the money towards the house (which is included with the rent payment) would not be given back, but its just the same as an apt (moneywise). - Exactly he will be back soon so all will be good. As far as the rules on pets with the appt. i can explain breaking them. I figure i grow fucking mushrooms for chirst sake how much respect for rules could i have

True. A lease break is grounds for eviction.
