Babysitting drunken friend...

and I just end up leaving him to fend for himself. I told my friends i would walk this guy home because he lives pretty close to me and he was irresponsibly drunk but still able to stand. He's belligerant as hell when he's sober and its just way worse when he's drunk...
So I'm with him and this girl and we're all walking to our respective houses and my friend stops to throw up behind the house this girl is going into. She goes inside and i wait for him to finish, but HE WONT LEAVE THE HOUSE. He just sits there and tells me how much he loves me and shit, and how he wants to go inside the house and get the girl to come out so he can take her home. He's fall down drunk, one of my best friends, and I try everything to get him to go home and go to sleep but he wont leave, so i just walked off. Now im feeling guilty about leaving his ass there because what if he gets hit by a car or passes out on someones lawn and gets arrested? Damnz, i need another drink.

You described him as being a dickhead while sober and drunk, but he's one of your best friends?

Anyway. It sounds like you tried everything you could do. I wouldn't have left him there myself or a friend to fend for themselves while drunk, no matter how little patience I have when I'm drunk.
