They are out!!! Not in extreme amounts and only in ideal locations as of yet. I managed to pick 500 in < an hour today. Pic(s) to follow...

I'd say 500 in an hour could qualify as an extreme amount!
You have a digi cam? If so, I'd like to seem some pics. Nice job! How far north are you?

Pictures are coming by tonight / early tomorrow morning (charging batteries now). None will be outdoor pictures, but I promise you will see outdoors pictures from me as the 'season' progresses. Also, please keep in mind I am no newbie to picking. 95% of the general population wouldn't have found any. I out pick EVERYONE by at least 2x. When normal pickers get 500 an hour, i'm upwards of 1200-1500 an hour (i've seen days MUCH higher, but these are rare). Other than northern canada, that's all i'll say with regards to my location.
Rough breakdown.
90% golden yellow (sundried)
10% sticky brown (fresh)
One fairy ring in particular had deep roots that were extremely fuzzy.
I will be sure to take a close up of a few of these. Also it was a very warm day (24 degrees celcius) and very sunny, which is why most were already sundried.
As for the trip, P.Semilanceata are potent. Fresh typically lead to more visual experiences in my opinion, although I prefer the "less intese" dried trip.

For some reason, the blue did not come out as good as it looks in real life. This is to show that P.Semilanceata DO bruise blueish. I will show better examples soon.

they look good to me. where are you at? I'm in newfoundland canada, they usually do not come out until first frost.

the ones i pick usually blue at the base of the stems...nice find, can`t wait till they start popping up here...i`m gonna look after the aftermath of hurricane Katrina hits us with some rain.
