    #4580265 - 08/25/05 03:36 PM (18 years, 7 months ago)

I'm trying to use my photoshop which I have just recently gotten.

But the only colors it has are green and black? Wtf?

I don't get it. and I need to use it.

Can anyone help me out here?

Try clicking on the green one, should bring up the color selection window... I think.

i use photoshop 7.0, not sure if maybe it's different with other version or whatever.

but you should be able to click the little box that says what color is selected and a color template should come up that allows you to adjust the color.

or something.

you might be in Duotone mode. Check the color mode and make sure its RGB.

Not to be rude, but...

Take 2 years of graphic design, buy a photoshop bible, and figure it out.

Everyone thinks that 'art' is SO EASY. Pssh, if only you had to deal with some of the crap that I do at my job. Incompatibility between applications, more options than you can shake a stick at, and total idiot clients who have no idea how the printing process works and can't understand why they can't get a jpg they found on the web printed onto a t-shirt or why the color that looks one way on screen looks totally different when its produced.

Well, I understand totally your frustration being a computer systems admin and guitarist... I don't have any patience to show anyone both of it, but c'mon, he was just asking a question

I didn't take offense of anything you said. As I understand you're like that all the time with people you don't know?

Anyways, yea, a photoshop bible would help a bunch, so would 2 years of graphic design. But not to be rude, if you can't figure what's wrong, then I would suggest more of studying for you.

Plain and simple, it's on RGB. I click on the color box, and it's nothing but green and black.

Is this what you see? Move the sliders, shown circled in yellow, up and down for different colors (or just click anywhere inside the color spectrum bar).

I don't! Off the top of my head, I can't think of any other reason why it would be stuck on two colors unless 1) there was something wrong with your color profiles 2) its in duotone. He already said its in RGB so its not a Duotone, and I've never heard of color profiles being damaged, especially in a new install.
