Flax Seed Meal

I read that flax sed meal can increase the potency of mushrooms. However, I have already started my jars and I didn't include any in the substrate. Can I add flax seed meal to my casing layer to give the mushrooms more nutrients?

I don't think you can add Flax seed meal to the casing layer without causing contamination problems. I'd just wait and try it next time.
By the way you can make flax seed meal really easily with a home coffee grinder. Just put in about 1 tablespoon at a time and hold the grinder at a 45 degree angle. Run it for about 10 seconds and "You've got Meal!"

Ouch, that hurt.
