It is possible that some humans will utilize suffering and pain as a way to learn overcoming, but these humans tend to be the exception.

The reason I thought it was irrelevant because the whole point why happiness and love were developed is because they're truely good emotions, and show the organism that what it is doing is the right action. So to tell someone that the other emotions are just as important goes contrary to the nature of emotions, as emotions are really just the ethereal effects on the being, and the being will argue that, through their experience, suffering is not as good as happiness. Some humans, however, have overcome parts of their instinct with the drive to knowledge; perhaps this is simply another logical step for life.

I agree with your post though, I too explore the negative emotions and would not want the positive ones to be my mindset, even though this could be contrary to the animalistic purpose of emotions. Perhaps humans have transcended simply following what's good and denying what's bad? Some of us have realized through our conscious thinking that the fire's burn isn't as bad as pain makes it; it's simply another state of existing in this temporary reality.

Euronymous! :fire:

Strange, there isn't any emoticons depicting eating someone's brains...

Indeed, I believe Euronymous was there upon the discovery of Dead being dead in the avatar. But eating brains and making necklaces from the fragments of his skull, not to mention having two members of a band die violent deaths, makes you wonder what's in the water over there in Norway. Between Faust, Varg, Euronymous, Dead, and then the random people burning down the ancient churches and doing the crimes no one knows about yet, it's quite an intriguing scene.

And definitely good music. I was just listening to Burzum as I saw your post.

S.A.D. from lack of sunlight. Common problem with people in northern climates. Lots of depression. That may be why the Scandinavian peoples are so non violent at home. The Vikings traveled and so got into sunnier climates and so were more aggressive and energetic.
