Childhood toys.

Remember all those toys you used to love when you were a kid? Post some pictures of the toys that you remember the most.

<<< Biggest picture I could find. It's a seasame street house that opened up and had two floors in each side of the house.





The rest of the things I liked, unfortuntately can't be found online. I feel old.

Bernstein Bears, Etch-A-Sketch and that record player thing were all a part of my childhood!

Sports: they're still a part of my life


Toy guns: we played a game simply called "guns" where we'd build forts, hunt eachother down and argue over who really shot who :lol:


GI-Joe:


Lite Brite: not every activity was violent :lol:


I also explored the woods on my bike, built forts and did the usual kid stuff with my friends.

How could I forget about baseball cards? We were addicted to those fucking things and spent a good chunk of money on them. I still have a collection of over 50 Jeff Bagwell cards.

My easy bake was the very old orange or yellow one. I couldn't find a picture of one that old tho. I was going to mention Pound Puppies and Cabbage Patch Kids but practically everyone had those.

LiteBrite was awesome! I can't believe I forgot that.  I used to take my brothers baseball cards to school and give them to this guy I liked. haha Let me tell you, I got my ass kiiiiiiiiiiicked when he found out. :crazy:

hey insatiablethirst, you better fucking believe i had that fold-out sesame street house. i think its actually still somewhere in my house. good random thought... i never considered it a popular or widely nostalgic toy, more as something just me and my brother happened to have. glad to know someone else had it too..


in fact, i just checked, and i have it still, and before now i havent seen it or thought about it in about 6 or 7 years, and it smells TERRIFIC.

I loved that house! I never knew anyone else with it.  It's apparently around 30 years old.  I don't know what happened to mine. :frown: I wish I still had it.  It gave me hours of pleasurable memories.  I used to have little smurf figurines and Get-along Gang ones, and use them with the house.  I'd take the empty carton of eggs and cut the top part off, and pile all the little guys in the eggs spots and pretend it was a bus that took them to school. :lol:

I think that was my most favourite toy out of everything I had.  I don't remember getting it because I was much too young.  I believe it was my brothers first, then I was given it because I loved it so much and he grew out of it.

You should take a picture of it if you can and post it.  I'd love to see it.  I miss it.

I was into Barbie's pretty hardcore. I liked to take them outdoors and play with them in the mud. I called all my barbie's "the little people."

I used to always make Barbie and Ken get busy and stuff rolled up barbie clothes under her dress so she looked preggo.
