If you're gonna go that route, get the Retro Duo.
That way you can play both nes, and snes games.

I grew up in the NES era too. Definitely brings back memories. I missed out on the SNES though because my dad predicted it would come out and thought it was a waste of money to keep buying new console systems.
So I lived in the 8-bit era until the N64 came out. The 3D graphics impressed my dad enough that I was actually allowed to get one.
I've been playing SNES emulated games now and having a good time experiencing them for the first time.

I have NES emulators, SNES emulators.. honestly not the same as having that piece of shit controller in your hand.
I use my SNES unless I absolutely can't find a game, then I'll download.

I dig the emulators because you can use the filters that make it look like it's running on a 90's tube TV.

i got a retro duo v2.0 cuz i heard the other ones door is jammy and it works pretty good!! ehhh! lol fucking so i played ninja gaiden the other day and totally beat the game with out someone coming in the room after the second level and asking to use the remote, it was fucking awesome tho the sound emulator is crap still after some windex it played good as new tho i have to watch what games i put in cuz i only wiped this mario cartridge my friend gave me once and when it turned on the screen was orange and a checked the cartridge and there was still a bit of gunk torwards the top, YUCk
you know tho they dont even have illusion of gaia on the virtual console for wii, which is fucking sad considering thats like enix's best games

not even close to the same. although they do sell USB attachments so that you can hook up old school controllers to your computer.

then, hook up your laptop to your tv and it's basically like the same thing. Although...it's still not the same
