If you're gonna go that route, get the Retro Duo.

That way you can play both nes, and snes games.

I grew up in the NES era too.  Definitely brings back memories.  I missed out on the SNES though because my dad predicted it would come out and thought it was a waste of money to keep buying new console systems.  :crankey:

So I lived in the 8-bit era until the N64 came out.  The 3D graphics impressed my dad enough that I was actually allowed to get one.

I've been playing SNES emulated games now and having a good time experiencing them for the first time.

A couple years ago, some friends and I hooked up an original NES to a projector and played from our roof projected on to the neighbors house across the alley. It ended up being about a 65 foot screen. It was probably one of the coolest parties I have had in recent years.

That sounds so awesome!

I have NES emulators, SNES emulators.. honestly not the same as having that piece of shit controller in your hand.

I use my SNES unless I absolutely can't find a game, then I'll download.

I dig the emulators because you can use the filters that make it look like it's running on a 90's tube TV.

not even close to the same. although they do sell USB attachments so that you can hook up old school controllers to your computer.

then, hook up your laptop to your tv and it's basically like the same thing. Although...it's still not the same
