I find space to be one of the most inspirational and comforting things in existence. It represents the unknown, hope, and peace. I LOVE writing or making songs about it.

The only problem is you can never ever see these things in space. Even though in some of the pictures the colors are real, (in many of them the colors are not real and represent EM waves like infrared) these structures are way too dim to see.
The telescopes only 'see' them because they have enormous exposure times. With the naked eye, from a distance that would let you oversee the thing, it is just too dim to see.

Omg..that pic is amazing. Anyone here been to the desert on a night where the moon isn't out?

Its something like that. well...without the colors and huge stars. But you can see so many moving objects. meters, satellites

Yes, you can never see these things with your own eyes.

The Hubble telescope can "see" wavelengths in the optical, ultraviolet and near-infrared part of the EM spectrum.
