my jars are just aboutcompletly colonized and i need to start thinking on where and what are the best products to use

you know... best case for the shrooms to be put in where i get it... stuff like that any help is apprcieated :)

i would recommend home depot. i actually got little tupperware trays at walmart for my casing and it's working fine, but i had to tape foil over the sides and bottom to prevent light from intitiating pinning down and sideways.

i guess the rest of the supplies depend on what kind of casing tek you're using. i'm using 50/50, so i just went back to the garden store I got my verm at and bought some peat moss. i couldn't find oyster shells or lime, so i crushed up some regular old chalk to give some pH buffering...

i was leaning towards the casing for dummies tek but... can you or somone else enlighten me on the benifits of the 50/50

Go to WalMart or Home Depot and get some Jiffy Mix. It's got Peat Moss, Vermiculite, and Lime. Essentially, Jiffy Mix is the same as the 50/50 casing mixture. You can also get crushed oyster shells to add to the mix for enhanced growing. My friend's pet donkey uses aluminum foil baking pans for his casing, then puts them in a big plastic storage container with an ultrasonic fogger. Look around, there are all kinds of recipe's. Just make sure you sterilize everything!!!! Pressure cook your casing mix if possible. Lots of luck.
