Patti's Big Bolete

My friend Patti found his big Boletus at Gifford Pinchot national forest at the foot of Mt.Adams in Washington state.

Mj and Patti, who says hello to all of the shroomers here.

What kind of Bolete is it? If that's a King, it looks like a mighty tasty feast waiting to happen!

I think the shroom is a king. Do you have a preference for how you cook these? Whattup with the cops stiuation. I have to agree. To protect and to serve is a farce. I just got my second ticket in my million mile driving history by a state trooper who entrapped me. He waited for me to get on the freeway, where I committed no infraction, then screamed at me for not dimming my lights. He could have flashed his brights and I would have used common courtesy and dimmed them. I had a headlight go out on a dark road only 1/2 mile before. I couldn't see, so I had to turn on my brights. I passed more than 6 oncoming cars who didn't flash their brights at me indincating it was bothering them. This cop, facing me on the other side of the light, had been sitting at the light as I came down a hill, a green light, mind you. When I had to turn in front of him to get on the freeway, I hesitated, wondering why he didn't go. He had no signal on. After ascertaining that he intended to sit there I entered the freeway. Next thing you know he was on me like white on rice. He pulled me over. I hardly said a word while he screamed at me in anger and attempted to humiliate me. He wanted to ticket, not insure anyones safety. I got up this morning to find a trooper had rolled his car very near the same place as it is flooding right now. Whoever it was was not hurt, but I hope it was him getting some well deserved karma- Patti
