Salvia dried leaves longetivity

Does anybody have any idea how long Salvia leaves retain their original potency for? As far as i was aware the active principle is quite remarkably stable, but i saw mention somewhere of stored leaves losing potency? Just wondering...

I have store some for maybe a year, being still in good shape, in contrast to me after smoking them ;)
What I know is that the salvinorin doesn't like sun light, like many alcaloids (salvinorin isn't one!) and THC. If you store them in a dark cool place, they should hold their magic for a long time...
