Salvia orally

Just wondering if anyone has any experiences to share of salvia taken orally?? Ive only ever smoked it...

I couldn't get much from oral, I can't stand the taste. I put some leaves in capsules and took a bunch of them once at work. It was pretty weird, I could understand what people were saying in foreign languages (i.e. Spanish and Japanese) but I couldn't understand a word of english. It definately made things tough but fun all the same.

Tired of pimping yourself on the corner to afford spores? Well throw out that red dress and go to the FSR, for spores even you can afford.

I've never tried salvia oral or otherwise. But I read somewhere that soaking the leaves in cold water for 10 minutes removes the taste.

Salvia is not active is swallowed. Salvinorin is destroyed by your digestive bits. Oral salvia must be used sublingually, where the salvinorin can be absorbed through you mouth, directly into your bloodstream.

Traditionally salvia was made into a drink and swallowed, but HUGE quantities of this were needed. It is thought that it was active because the salvinorin was absorbed whilst in peoples mouths and whilst being swallowed.

Soaking the leaves in water for 10 minutes does not remove this taste. This is the method for re-hydrating dried leaves so they can be made into a quid.

Stevia extract (really really sweet) is often used on quids to try and disguise the taste, but there isn't really anything you can do to make the taste pleasant, just about bearable is the best you're going to get.

If you have 5X or another extract, you can mix this with honey to use sublingually. It's best to leave the salvia in the honey for 24 hours or so before using it, but you have to be careful not to swallow the honey, as this will render it ineffective.

Have you tried the extract in honey with noticeably stronger effects than chewing regular leaf?
Do you use quite a small amount of honey to reduce the volume needed to be held in the mouth or is a large volume required for dissolving of the Salvinorin?

The strength of effects will vary depending on the dose you use. You cannot say that one will give you stronger effects than the other. Achieveing strong effects is far easier with the honey though, and if you've ever tried chewing a quid I'm sure you can understand why...

I would usually use about 1/4 -1/3 gram of 5X in about 2 teaspoons of honey. I find this is enough to dilute the taste of the extract a bit, but the ammount of honey you use is irrelivent, as we are only talking about microgrammes of salvinorin. You usually need to use a bit more salvia if you are using it orally than if you are smoking.

I find the best way to mix the honey and extract is on a piece of grease proof paper. This can then be tied up and kept for a day or so to allow the salvinorin to absorb. When you come to use the honey, it can be easilly scraped from the grease proof paper with a knife.
