First the potency report.....They ROCK!! :bang: They are as of now my all time favorite Psilcybin experiance :) I ate 35 fresh specimens, weighing in at just under 8 grams fresh. It was an very intense yet pleasureable experiance, very visual!! I'd say they are damn near twice as potent as weilii by weight, but you have to find and eat alot of mushrooms compared to weilii. I only need 4-8 fresh weilii for a strong trip, it takes 30-40 of this new species. Anyways, they kickass, nuff said :) I met up with a fellow weilii/atlantis picker and he shared some very nice patches with me over the weekend, I also showed him the new species and my weilii patch(even though mine is done fruiting) When we were walking to one of his patches we came a cross a weilii patch in a neighbors yard, it was a whole clusterfuck of shrooms!! We picked them in a hurry as the neighbors were home, we picked atleast 50-60 weilii in about 30 seconds or so :) They were all touching cap to cap, it was a helluva cluster to say the least :) I was kicking myself in the ass for not having my camera with me(I thought weilii season was over) Anyways, next year should get interesting :) Here are a few pics, some of them are the same pics just under different lighting and angles. They are so freaking small its hard to get clear pics :( But I'm doing my best :) Look at these next 2 pics, tell me these things don't look exactly like little azures :) Its amazing! LK,

They mature to that size ? Freaking small LK, they must be the smallest psilcybe i ever saw, i thought my coprophilas were small but those.... As some girls say "size doesn't matter". Peace, MAIA

The one on my thumb is to show how small they can be, not the average size. The typical mushroom is 2 inches tall with a cap 1/4" wide, the biggest I've found so far had a cap and inch and a half wide and was 3 inches tall. They do get some size to them, but they are definitely a petite mushroom :)

I'm working on the write up.....just chill :) To answer a few quick questions though: They grow in sandy clay soils that have been previously disturbed, in others words they prefer a riparian zones. They blue like a mofo :) They grow solitary to scattered and sometimes gregarious. I know very little about the habitat specifics, its hard to tell if I found them in their main habitat, or in an obsurce location they normally wouldn't grow in. Like I said though, I know for sure they prefer sandy/loamy redclay soils.

Second potency test shows very similar results. Friend ingested 50 fresh specimens and described what he called the closest to level 5 he has ever been, in and out of body for over an hour during the peak. These things ain't no joke! They have some serious potency :) LK,

sounds delicious.. have you made any attempt to get them professionaly classified? Perhaps they are some small race of azures.. have you had fresh azure to compare the experiance to?.. :) keep up the great work man

They are in the process of being professionally identified. And no I haven;t had the pleasure of experiancing fresh azures, but I have had dried azures(a good bit of them) and I can asure you the trip is different. I would guess this new species to have a psilocybin content around .80-.90%+, but thats just my guess.

As I have said before, based on your pics and descriptions, I really do belive that I found a micro-size patch of that same strain in Kentucky last year. (aint found shit this year). I just wanted to add, that the ones that I found too grew very small when full mature (mine were closer to an inch high) and a few grams had this guy tripping his ass off one night. For me the buzz was highly vizual and fairly intense. It was truly amazing how fucking small the things were, even with the caps open.
