i wrecked a jet ski today

one of these




t-bone style into another one just like it traveling at about 45 mph. this 14 year punk son of a friends room mate just came flying right across from me outa nowhere. i mean, sure i know he was around and that we shouldnt be that close to each other while riding around on these things so i know im not 100% innocent here...

but man, this guy said he was doing at least 65, 70 at the time i hit him. he flew by me so fast that that he didnt even get any dammage to the one jet ski, just a black skid mark from the front of the one i was riding. it did smash the front end of the one i was riding pretty good.

thankfully no one got hurt, because each time i re run that incident in my head i see it potentially being alot worse than it was. so im not too upset at this guy just yet....upset, yes...but not at anything in particular other than the situation i was in.

but once we got back to where we were all set up, this guy wouldnt own up to a god damn thing. it was like,  "well, the one i was riding isnt all fucked up, so it cant be my fault" or something simalar to that effect. this is where he upset me...but i did something today that i dont normally do in situations like this.

i just bit my tongue and took the fall, and i will be the one paying to have the front end of this thing redone, which i am sre wont be cheap by any means. and to make shit worse, my friend had JUST gotten these things, the only other time he rid them was at lake meade during the 4th of july weekend. my friend seems to take the news surprisingly well....obviously upset, but he does already have 700 dollars of mine that hes been hanging onto for me. im really bad with money, so each check i give him  some cash.....trying to save up. so i just told him, look, we can start with that money. im sure it will be a bit more than that, but we can atleast start with there.

so ya, it was kinda a shitty day for me today. we packed shit up, and head on home. wont know whats going on with the repairs untill tuesday. its a far stretch it will be under the 700 dollars, but im hopeing its not TOO far above it......this situation can still turn out alright in the end.....i just dont want to have this set me back to being broke once again. im tired of being broke, and ive finally got a good chunk saved up and i gotta go act like a dumb ass and flush it all away....


and ya, thats my rant for the night. :thumbdown:
