yeah...i don't think you're gonna get 2000$ for it.

a couple years ago, i bought a bottom of the line dell pc for like 800$. now, a brand new 'bottom of the line dell' which is like 10x better than mine, more ram and just overall better parts, only costs 299$.

computers get outdated so fast.

You defiantly wont get $2000 for it. Its the same situation some people find them selves in when selling a car they owe on. The car is not worth what they owe.

My advice is never borrow money against an item that depreciates in value. Millions of hard working people lose lots of money by doing this. Get a second job for a while, and work real hard to pay that shit off then don't fall in the trap again. Good Luck!

yea, i'd estimate it's value at around 750-1250 if it was brand new...

but if your just gonna toss it, i'll take it... pm me if your just gonna throw it away... cause i got first dib :rolleyes:

http://www.ebay.com basically will tell you the market price for it, if you want to stop guessing.  If you save a link to an auction, you can see what it finally sells for, which usually will jump significantly right before the auction ends.  You might get more offline, if you find someone who doesn't know the market.  I've sold stuff on craigslist to be quick but I'd expect less on that board.

I don't have any good news though.  :frown:  Maybe get into starcraft.  Or be glad you aren't into starcraft.

I'm presuming Bom's talking Canuck bucks -- she lives in Canuckistan after all. These days CDN $2000 is equivalent to around US $1600.

But yeah, there's no way the market price for that machine is anywhere close to US $1600. That's just the way it is with computers. Depreciation on 'em makes depreciation on cars look like peanuts.
