My fraind is looking at a ultra sonic hunidifier with something built into it called micro ban , it eliminates mold and mildew inside the humidifier on the parts would this be a bad idea to use ? The other option is a sun beam cool mist , it does not have this feature but it also does not say anything about not creating the white powder build up like some of the other ones do. Does anyone know about this white powder that these machines produce? Any help would be great. Thanks

the white powder is the solids you have in your water, if you don't want it in there, use distiled water, but really, it's just minerals in the water, don't worry. Second, I've read nothing but disparaging comments about every sort of humidifyer except for the cool mist ones. So go with one of those. Furthermore, the thrift stores around here always have one in stock, I've picked up three so far (not for shrooms, for my damn bloddy noses in this new dry climate of mine) total cost? like 9bux for 3, much better than the $30 or so new.

Oh yeah, if you are worried about dirty water, just use some H2O2, there are plenty of posts on this, search.
