Perlite question

Would it be possible to just have a large jar of perlite in the grow chamber instead of a messy layer at the bottom ? Would it release a usefull amout of hummidity , it would not be the only source, there would be a fishtank bubbler as well . Just looking for a simpler way of using the stuff any ideas would be great ...Thanks

Well you never gave any detail on the size of your tub, terr, ect., or the jar you plan on using. In any case I don't think there would be a need for a jar of perlite if you plan on using a bubbler. I use perlite about 2" on the bottom of my tub and a bubbler. However the perlite is not wet. The only reason I have the perlite is to catch the water droplets that may form and fall to the bottom. You don't want any free standing water in your terr........not a good idea. So the job of the perlite is to catch the water and release back into the air. Also if you plan on using a bubbler, it helps to add some H2O2 to the water.
