Particle was one of the first so-called jam bands that I was exposed to, on a headful of acid I might add... :wink:
During the song "7 minutes till radio darkness" I completely lost it and just started running around the crowd dancing ecstatikly and generally freaking out.
It was a good exposure to the scene, I'd have to say. :tripping:
(This was years ago before Launchpad was released and they were relatively unknown.)

A plethora of music aspirations control my temptations of future revelations beyond "now". The percussion, and the heart beat of my love and devotion. The rhythm goes beyond, prying into the third eye, releasing the creativity held so far inside. The melodicies, through the out of tune pianos and broken classical guitars...there lies a beauty. A beauty as prevelent as the fire inside. To release these energies is pure ecstacy, to deveop these gifts is sacred. The vocality, so pure as can be, shying away from herself, lies within me. For the underlying serenitity, this is what I live for. I plea for harmony, and nothing more. Music equals love. Creation of love leads to the procreativity of the World, and it's spirals and puddles prevailing.

Yayah!! I have seen these kids numerous times and they have never let me down!! Elevator is always a joy to hear. Them with Mickey Hart(Hydra) was the bomb, too!!

Thanks! Those are from the St. Louis Hydra show and their show in Covington, Ky. That is a cool ass town!! If you ever get the chance, you should visit.(Covington...didn't dig St. Louis, too much)

well i just saw particle last night

and it really wasn't that great of a show. it sounded like every show i have heard by them; they really need some new material

and i realized what someone said about the "guitarist trying to take over the band" ... i dunno. i just thought he went overboard

they closed with "whole lotta love" which was pretty cool though. i didn't really like that they played at 6pm, particle really shines late-night

i wouldn't mind seeing hydra again though ...
