Perhaps this is how the universe began? What are the implications of this? What exactly is nothingness? Is nothingness something? Is the universe infinite? Does the universe have an edge? What do the physicists of the shroomery believe?

well nothing cant exist without something. but there is divine nothingness accrording to judasim. God created the world but he did not create the world at a certain time. i actually just came up with that when writing the first sentence, and im not sure where im going with sentence but my ability to reason tells me its true. they say how did the universe come to be, in other words how does something come out of nothing, lol, its the same concept as thought and action. the big bang and action are the same thing. everything represents everything

our universe is one big black hole, thats why our lives seem to happen faster and faster as we grow up, and this is why particles pop in and out of existence because the gravity of the blackhole is causing them to condense and expand

i would say existence is the unknown, but consist's of knowing. there is a piece of information related to this that i think i should share but if the word spreads about this information, it will change the world.

Nothing is kind of paradoxical to explain. because I think to have nothing, there has to be something. Kinda like for something to definitely exist, it has to be observed. I can't explain the concept too well,(I'm not much of a physicist) but it comes up whenever these questions are asked. I don't think anyone has come up with a decent explanation of nothing. lol
As for the universe: Scientists have come up with a picture of what the universe looks like(I'm sure you've seen it). So we know what it looks like and theoretically where it "ends", but we don't know whats past that edge. Maybe it's just alot of "nothing"? haha.
I think the universe is infinite and the edge that we can see is just the outer edge of all the matter in our vicinity. I think if you could keep traveling through space past that for a very long time you would eventually reach another universe. That's about the only answer I can give.

I just realized that after typing all that I didn't really say anything in this post. haha. Oh well. good way to kill time :tongue:

'Nothing' isnt really a technical term in physics. You can just kind of define it how you want depending on the context.

Nothing is something that doesnt exist. Thinking about it fills my head with fuck.

The way I look at it the universe is infinite but it curves in on itself, think of it like the original mario you keep running forward but the background keeps repeating itself.

What is between particles? And yes, something... Not wanting to go all quantum on your asses... They don't call it the fabric of space-time for nothing... Just what is IT made of...

First, particles can not move in and out of existence... Energy can not be crated or destroyed... Matter is energy... All you can do is change form... Or move it or store it...

Second, multiple dimensions exist. Energy transfer between dimensions is not excluded

Third, interactions and forces are all based on particles. Even the particles responsible for mass and gravity must exist...

Fourth, the freakn universe is expanding... And that is everything is getting further apart... Not just planets or solar systems... Everything... And yet, some how, those particles still interact... Gravity over the whole universe

But... I digress
