?'s concerning Moe's Outdoor Tek

Moe says to pick up a bag of cheap cow shit from walmart for use in an outdoor tek. My concern is that the manure might have chemicals which may hinder growth. Who else has had success with using the walmart dung? What brand of dung did you purchase from walmart?

Also, do any other experienced growers have any tips or hints not listed in Moe's Tek they would like to share?

How much does that Home Depot Manure cost per bag?

Came up with a few more questions after re-reading Moe's Tek:

-Step 2 tells you to "Crumble some of the cakes and toss them first in the newly dug hole." Lets assume someone had 10 colonized half pints. Should half of those be spread throughout the hole first? Or just a couple?

-Step 3 tells you to "Pack some of the soaking straw on top of the crumbled layer of cakes." How thick of a layer of straw should be placed? Should the straw be strained first?

-Should each layer be packed down or just layed on top of the next?

your concerns are well founded, bluelou said black kow. I can attest to its effectivness. Although it may not be readily available. just read the labels and check for any additives.
